SOLD – Ake Fribyter for Nelo Möbler, pair of armchairs

Description

What I like

I like the great comfort of this Swedish furniture, with the double seat in black lacquered thermoformed wood, therefore supple, with enveloping leather. This seat rests on the fabric nacelle and increases comfort. You can easily take a nap in these armchairs!!

I think this is one of the most comfortable armchairs of the 1970s.

They have a reassuring side that I really like, because of their very Scandinavian brown patina.

I like the technical prowess of their wooden structure which considerably lightens their appearance, without compromising their comfort. Their structure in two elements allows a more inventive design and the pretty Chinese sign of the curved raising of the armrest.

The date of creation of these armchairs, 1974, is during the golden age of Scandinavian design, which corresponded to a desire for comfort and lightness in furniture.

I like the unique comfort provided by the different cushions, seat and backrest, armrests, height-adjustable headrest.

Mix & Match

This pair of armchairs is very typical of the 70s/80s. Their comfortable side allows them to slip into equally comfortable interiors: they can be associated with Julien de Covemaeker’s coffee table: the bronze side of the abstract decoration of its top will make the leather of the armchairs sing. By associating them with the lamp entirely in metal made around 1965 by FInimetal, we will accentuate the 1970 side of the composition. Of course, we can light them from above thanks to the Lily of the Valley floor lamp by Kaoyi from the 1980s: the conversationalists will not be disturbed! But you can also wake them up with the orange ceramic top of the German table from the 1970s, or with the Cubico chandelier by Gaetano Sciolari.

The editor

Nelo Möbler is a Swedish furniture manufacturer whose emblematic seat is the Kroken: the latter comes with or without headrest, with or without leather armrests, in natural wood, lacquered… Our pair has all the options!! And is therefore extremely comfortable. The black lacquer and the leather of the cushions are in good condition, a sign of the manufacturing quality of Nelo Möbler. There is an armchair with a metal frame, to tell the truth less successful graphically: Nelo Möbler is really better when he bends the wood.
