Object of the week

Black lacquered metal and glass chandelier by Erik Höglund et Boda Glasburk, circa 1960

This week, we are looking both north and up!

We present to you a Swedish chandelier in black lacquered metal with 15 molded glass plates with Scandinavian subjects: reindeer, horseman, longship… The metal structure of great elegance due to its sobriety, with a perfectly balanced design welcomes the fantasy of this glass used in three colors to bring warmth and originality.

The design and manufacture are the work of Erik Höglund, the great master of the revival of lighting in Sweden in the 1950s, associated with the Boda Glasburk glass factory. It was distributed by Holm Sorensen. Our example dates from the 1960s and will light up any interior thanks to the accuracy of its proportions and to the touch of color of its manufacture.

Consult the product sheet for more information:

– detailed description, size and weight; prizes.
– Photo gallery.
– Mix and Match; with what to mix and tune its objects.
– Notice on creators and publishers (if they are known!).
