Plexiglas and chrome cylindrical lamp by antoniofelice Botta, circa 1980 (whith lampshade)
Description
What I like
I like the very sculptural side of this lamp base, very heavy, displaying its respectable and fair weight. I also like the high quality of Italian manufacture, with this plexiglass with a fair smoked tone, brightened up by these six chrome strips. This lamp is typical of the creations of the designer Felice Antonio Botta, installed in Venice. It can be compared to a smoked Plexiglas lamp animated by 3 wooden bands, displaying the same silhouette. I like the large size of this lamp, which can light up an entire part of a room. I like its ability to blend in with most interiors, as its design is simple but fair and its quality allows it to accommodate any neighborhood.

Mix & Match
This lamp base, very impressive with its simple volumes, will visually take its place and give a strong 1980s character to the interiors where it will develop its duotone. Ideally suited to contemporary furniture because it has not aged a bit, it will be happily associated with chrome pieces, from the international furniture of the 1930s by Mies van der Rohe, Perriand, Le Corbusier; but also with massive pieces: obviously, on a large table by Charlotte Perriand, it will be perfect. But it will have its place with the Orsay ensemble by Gae Aulenti, from the same period of creation.
However, it will be fun to have it light up a mahogany desk with sober lines from the Empire period, but also on the large walnut and chrome desk from the Banque de France, which is from the 1965s. Its quality allows it to stand out. integrate everywhere or almost!
